Biography
Zyryanov Alexander Nikiforovich was born on the Iset river of the Shadrinsky district in the village of Verkhniy Yar on August 28, 1830. He is known and remembered as a self-taught writer who devoted his whole life to history, archeology, economics, ethnography, meteorology, culture and everyday life of his village, and he has accounted for more than 60 works.
My mother brought up Alexander Nikiforovich, and my father did not die very early. After graduation, he entered the Dalmatian Theological College, but after a few months was forced to drop out of school due to lack of finances. But the lack of education did not affect his future, because Alexander’s talents were laid by nature itself. His industriousness and knowledge have been noticed since school times, when he wrote notes about his land from the age of 12, and at the age of 16 he was invited to become a "volost clerk" in the village of Uksyanskoe. For several years he was the author of Baturinsky, Kargopolsky, Mekhonsky, Barnevsky and Ivanishchevsky villages of the Shadrinsky district. Then he quit writing and decided to go into trade.
