Biography
Alexander Grigoryevich Rapoport was born in 1947 in Bulgaria, in the city of Kazanlak. His dad was an officer, so the family moved from place to place many times. Finally, the Rapoports settled in Leningrad.
From a boy's age, Sasha saw himself as an actor and was very keen on this profession. Unfortunately, his parents were against such a frivolous occupation and insisted that he become a doctor.
He obeyed, but instead of studying anatomy, played in the ensemble and took part in performances. Another hobby is basketball. So passed day after day, he barely passed the exams until they began to teach psychiatry at the university. This science so interested the young man that he passed all the “tails” and was completely immersed in the study of interesting information.
After graduation, the young specialist got to the Moscow clinic Kashchenko - his career began successfully. However, a situation arose here when they wanted to force him to recognize as completely healthy people who were "mowed down from the army" as sick. He was convicted of a political article, and the consequences could be the most sad.
Rapoport decided to leave the country and on the way began to get in the direction of Barcelona. There was no money, along the way he and his younger son earned what they had to. By 1990, he reached the United States, and then life began in a foreign country.
Alexander was able to adapt and decided to deepen his knowledge of psychiatry - he entered the University of Adelphi. He is currently conducting relationship training and counseling.
Television and Cinema
The profession of a psychotherapist helped Rapoport become a media personality in the USA: he conducted the program “Mirror”, where he educated viewers on family issues. On the radio, he broadcast "An hour before midnight, " and on Russian television he participated in various shows.
Another facet of his work is singing, he has several albums.
A little later, Alexander tried himself as a theater actor - it was the play "Last Summer in Chulimsk" in the theater "Steps". He was invited to Russian theaters, for example, to Sovremennik.
And Rapoport got into the cinema almost by accident: he was seen at the exhibition by Lyubov Danelia and showed the casting director as a very colorful man. So Alexander Grigorievich became an actor in the film "My Prechistenka" (2010) - there he reincarnated as a Kuznetsov security officer.
Later there were other films and TV shows, and Alexander played a key role in the film "Nanolyubov" (2010). Also a notable milestone in his film career was the detective "Reader" (2012).
