Alexander Ponomarev is a famous Ukrainian singer, composer, poet, producer and actor. He has dozens of awards. The vocalist represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. His works are fascinating, attracting even more attention.
A talented musician was born in Khmelnitsky in 1973, on August 9. In childhood, the boy communicated with peers little because of poor health. Having matured and strengthened, Sasha often entered into fights and even preferred to be friends with hooligans.
Formation time
Even during training in the elementary grades, the child's giftedness manifested itself. Sasha played the guitar, composed songs. His first work was the composition "Saint Anna". Works were created for the girl you liked. Alexander performed it, like a serenade, under her window. At thirteen, the boy began to learn to play the piano.
He was fond of Ponomarev and sports. He was engaged in boxing. Doctors forbade further training due to a dangerous injury. This was the reason for admission to the conductor-choral department at the local music school. The entrant succeeded in the incredible: he did not study at the music school. They took it under the condition of independent development of its entire program. The student coped with the task. Next was getting an education at the Lviv Conservatory at the vocal faculty.
For the first time in a competition, Ponomarev performed in Chervona Ruta. A vocal competition was held in Donetsk. The young singer became the winner. At the "Slavic Bazaar" the vocalist became the second, having earned high marks of his performing level.
From that moment, a series of confessions and accomplishments started. Since the end of 1993, Alexander was awarded the title of best pop singer of Ukraine. After the fateful turn of the biography, the young man transferred to Kiev, becoming a student of the capital's national conservatory.
In 1995 there was a Grand Prix of the International Competition named after Vladimir Ivasyuk among young performers of a modern song. After a couple of years, Ponomarev became an Honored Artist of Ukraine.
The finest hour has come after the 1996 Taurian Games festival. The singer was recognized as a new star. Ponomarev left the event with a winner who literally caught a firebird, the main prize in the nomination "Singer of the Year". This was followed by other awards and prestigious music competitions.
At the same time, the first solo disc of the performer "Z ranku to night" with hits - "Sirooke kohannya", "Vogon", "Z ranku to night" was released. Songs sounded on all radio stations.
Confession
A year later, the debut album "Persha i Love Remaining" was recorded. Ponomarev himself handed over most of the compositions, including lyrics and music. The album is composed of a dozen songs, including a remix of the hit "Zіronka".
In 2000-2001, two albums with the names "IT" and "IT" were released. The first included a debut composition in English "Guantanamera" and "Saint Anna". The second one took "Win check on her", "Only with you."
In 2003, Ponomarev became the first representative of the country at the Eurovision song contest. He performed "Hasta la vista". The singer got the fourteenth place, the Turkish singer Sertab Erener became the winner. At the same time, the famous debut of the Russian Tatu group with its composition "Do not Believe, Do Not Be Afraid, Do Not Ask" took place.
The artist took a break for five years. Then he released the album "I love you for tilki." The hit of the same name is often performed on the radio. The new composition "Heart" has won many awards. The record only included a dozen tracks. Four of them were remixes of old hits.
In 2007, Alexander created the disc "Nice". He was distinguished by a special rhythm and dance character. Usually calm and lyrical penalties were replaced by the most cheerful.
The coaching activity of the performer in the project “Voice of the Country” stands apart. The vocalist competed in mentoring with Diana Arbenina. Together, the artists sang during the show.
In his first season, Ponomarev's finalist, Vladislav Sytnik, became third. The next season, his ward, Maria Yaremchuk, was already the last to go to the finals.
