The results of creative work are largely determined by managerial decisions. A competent leader has to train for a long time. Alexander Kurbatov grew to a senior manager in ten years.
Family tradition
The training program for managers for conducting financial and economic activities in the field of production and exchange differs from the training of managers in territorial entities. The difference is small but tangible. In the first case, it is necessary to organize production and make a profit. The second is to create a favorable environment for people to live. Alexander Vyacheslavovich Kurbatov took over as head of the famous resort city of Kislovodsk in December 2015. By this time, he already had sufficient experience in administration and management.
Kurbatov was born on May 6, 1970 in a family of medical workers. Parents lived at that time in the small town of Neftekumsk. Father is a virologist doctor. Mother worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist. Two older brothers were already growing up in the house. At school, Alexander studied well. When the time came to choose a profession, he decided to get a medical education. He easily entered the surgical department of the Stavropol Medical Institute. In 1993 he received a diploma, and continued his studies in the residency of the Pirogov Moscow Medical University.
Administrative activities
Returning from the capital to his native land, Kurbatov worked for five years as a surgeon in the regional clinic of Stavropol. In the early 2000s, an experienced doctor accepted an invitation to take a position in the government of the Stavropol Territory. By this time, the healthcare system across the country was transitioning to market principles of functioning. The regional authorities have been tasked with providing medical care only to those people who need it. To increase his level of competence, Kurbatov completed a training course at the faculty of urban and municipal administration at the Academy of Public Administration.
Kurbatov’s management career has evolved sequentially, without ups and downs. He worked for several years at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. For six years he served as Deputy Head of the city of Stavropol. At all posts, Alexander showed a high level of professionalism and made a feasible contribution to improving the situation. In the fall of 2015, a critical situation was brewing in the city of Kislovodsk. The current head of the administration openly could not cope with his duties. In December, this post was taken by Alexander Kurbatov.
