Biography
The future footballer Alexandra Morgan was born on the second day of July 1989 in the small American town of Diamond Bar. Alex was the third and youngest child in the family. Since childhood, the girl was attracted to men's sports, in addition to football, she was also fond of basketball and baseball. But when Alexandra turned fourteen, she was lucky enough to get to see the local Cypress Elite football academy and then she finally decided on her future. A year later, Morgan acquired the first title won. As part of the u-16 team (under 16), she won the Coast League medal.
Football career
Thanks to her talents and skills, Alex Morgan made her debut for the under20 team of the United States of America when she was just 17. In 2007, she entered the university to graduate, where she began playing for the local California Golden Bears team. In January 2011, she ended up at the Western New York Flash football club. This was a big step for Morgan, as this club performed on a professional level. For the first time, a talented soccer player distinguished herself in scoring an opponent’s goal in May of that year as part of the country's tournament against the Atlanta Beat football club.
In the same year, the team became the WPS champion. But the league was disbanded, and the other professional women's league in the country had a choice for the girls: to stay at home, but play at an amateur level or move to Europe. Morgan remained in the United States and moved to the Seattle Sounders Wuman amateur club.
At the end of 2012, the issue of professional women's football in the United States was decided, and the creation of a league called the National Women's Soccer League was announced. In January 2013, Alex signed a contract with a Portland Thorns league club. She spent three seasons in the team, in which she played only 36 matches. From 2016 to the present day stands for Orlando Prides.
USA team
Alex Morgan has been playing for the national team since 2010. She took part in the 2012 Olympic Games, then the United States defeated the Japanese national team in the finals and won gold medals. In 2015, Morgan became the world champion in football.
