It is not surprising that the famous actress is of Polish origin, and her parents and three sisters were in the circus troupe. From an early age, Ioannina was taught the wisdom of performing in the arena, including the production of musical numbers. In 1923, after the death of his father, the family moved to St. Petersburg, where he formed the creative team "Trio Zheimo".
In the Northern capital, Ioannina Zheimo attended acting courses, and her special education was enough to start acting in films. She made her debut in the simple films Bears vs. Yudenich, Brother and The Overcoat. This was followed by more significant roles in the films "Wake Helen!", "Helen and Grapes." The audience was very fond of the miniature actress, and demanded even more films with her. It is not surprising that the heyday of Jaime's career fell on the war and post-war years.
Yanina Zheimo appeared in the military films “The Soldier Walked from the Front”, “Two Fighters”, “We are from the Urals” and others, becoming a real ray of light and hope for people in difficult times for the country. But the most memorable was the main role in the film "Cinderella", which was released in 1947. In the same period, the actress starred in the film "Two Friends", which became the last in her film career.
It is believed that a possible reason for Yanina's departure from the cinema was her small growth, amounting to a little more than 140 cm.When she was young, she could play the roles of very young girls and even children, but over the years she could not compete with more tall and professional actresses. She herself never once regretted that the best years of her career were far behind and focused on her family.
