Artem was born January 26, 1966 in Moscow. The future journalist spent most of his childhood with his grandparents. Artem did not have a father, and his mother was forced to work very hard to feed her family. His grandfather was an employee of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs and traveled a lot. It was he who introduced the little boy to the history of our country and gave the necessary life skills.
In school, Sheinin studied very well and had an exemplary reputation with teachers. After receiving a general education, he went to the army for military service. At that time there was an Afghan war and Artem was sent to this Asian country. He still recalls the events of those days with particular sadness and horror. Scheinin daily witnessed the death of friends and acquaintances. This very strongly tempered his character and taught in any situation not to lose concentration.
In the army, Artem became a sergeant of the Airborne Forces, and after returning to his homeland, he entered the Moscow State University at the Faculty of History. In 1993, he successfully graduated from university and became an anthropologist. This profession allowed him to travel a lot around Russia and visit the most distant corners of our country.
But then Sheinin became interested in journalism and got a job as a screenwriter on television. He also worked as a correspondent on NTV channel and took part in the filming of documentaries.
By a happy coincidence, Artyom managed to get acquainted with Vladimir Pozner, who was just involved in creating a new program on Channel One. They became very friends, and Posner invited Scheinin to work together. So Artem became an employee of the main channel of the country and one of the creators of the program "One-story America." He became a real expert in the life of Americans. Scheinin and Posner traveled together most of the United States in an ordinary car and got acquainted with the life of ordinary residents of this country.
After returning to Russia, Artem became a frequent guest on the political show "Time will tell." And when the host Peter Tolstoy became a deputy of the State Duma, Sheinin was invited to replace him. So Artem became known throughout the country. For a couple of years now, a journalist appears almost daily on weekdays on television screens live. He is not afraid to give sharp comments on events taking place in the world and does not go into his pocket for a word. For this directness, he was very much loved by the audience, who also worry about Russia.
