Childhood and youth
The fact that a person’s creative abilities need to be developed, starting from an early age, is known to all adequate parents. At the same time, experts note that it is not worth setting excessive tasks for your child. At the same time, it is very important to support and encourage his hobbies and interests. It was in such an atmosphere that Yuri Vladimirovich Kot developed and educated. The boy grew up a curious and energetic child. Today, for some reason, these children are called hyperactive, and in the middle of the last century they were considered ordinary.
The future actor and showman was born on January 23, 1976 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the famous city of Zhytomyr. Father served as an actor in the local drama theater. Mother worked as a teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature in a secondary school. Yuri learned to read early. Even in preschool years, he willingly spoke at various events in kindergarten. He recited poetry from the scene. Viewers especially liked the poem "Baggage" by Samuel Marshak. And he sang popular songs from children's cartoons about Cheburashka.
At school, Yuri studied well. Easy to do in all subjects. He took an active part in public events. He was regularly invited to amateur performances, in which Kot won prizes. After leaving school, he decided to get a specialized education at the Zhytomyr Pedagogical Institute. Student years flew by in a flash. In parallel with his studies, he participated in the productions of the club, cheerful and resourceful, moonlighting as an announcer on local television, which did not prevent Yuri from receiving an honors degree.
Professional activity
For almost two years, a graduate, Yuri Kot, taught the Ukrainian language and literature to students of the Pedagogical Institute. At the same time, he worked as a teacher in a special boarding school for hearing-impaired children. Classes were held on Saturdays and Kot did not require payment for his work. In addition to this, he seriously mastered the profession of a presenter on regional television. By the mid-90s, the situation in the economy worsened. They began to pay wages with a delay. Prices for groceries and consumer goods rose inexorably.
Soberly assessing his capabilities and prospects, Yuri decided to move to Kiev. In the capital, he began to collaborate with television channels as a freelance correspondent. And he entered the directing department of the Karpenko-Kary Theater Institute. In 2003, Kot took part in the casting, which was conducted by the Inter TV channel. The promising actor was recognized as the winner, and for several years he became the "voice of the TV channel." His career on television developed quite successfully. Yuri was systematically invited to participate in various television and cinema projects.
For the first time, viewers saw Kot on the screen after the release of the movie "Doll". Full fame came to the actor after showing the paintings "The husband is returning from a business trip" and "The Year of the Golden Fish". Over time, Yuri realized that he was closely in the role of the actor. By this time, he was already writing scripts and gaining directorial experience. One of the most popular television projects was the show "Everything for You" on the channel "Inter". The program was aimed at a youth audience, and this calculation turned out to be correct. After a few years, the situation in Ukraine has changed dramatically.

In the political arena
In the second half of 2013, Ukraine began to shake mass protests of citizens who demanded an improvement in their hopeless lives. A successive series of rallies and demonstrations quickly grew into a large-scale protest rally, which was called the Maidan. The Ukrainian people divided into two parts. Some supported President Viktor Yanukovych, others demanded his resignation. The fight escalated and Yuri could not stay away. He strongly advocated changes and reforms within the framework of the current constitution.
However, extremists-minded youths did not listen to the voice of reason. Yuri Kot was attacked and severely beaten by unknown hooligans. After this incident, he began to receive outright threats. Under the pressure of circumstances, the TV presenter was forced to seek shelter in Russia. Many politicians and public figures have already gathered here who have a negative attitude to the events taking place in Ukraine. Yuri was immediately attracted to participate in information projects that covered and commented on the events in Kiev. In 2018, he took the post of press secretary of the World Russian National Council.
