Early biography
Yuri Grebenshchikov was born in 1937 in Sverdlovsk. Shortly after his birth, war broke out. The boy grew up in a large family, whose head went to war to the front, reconciling with hunger and other troubles. But years later, the war ended, and Yuri's father, fortunately for everyone, returned home alive. It was Grebenshchikov Sr. who was engaged in raising his son, making him a real man.
Closer to graduation, Yuri became interested in acting, visiting the drama club. At the same time, he mastered playing the guitar and singing, so he coped well even with complex creative roles. Once, an experienced troupe from the Moscow Art Theater visited Sverdlovsk in search of new talents. It was Yuri Grebenshchikov who became one of the few who were invited to study at the famous school-studio. In 1955, he was enrolled in high school and began to confidently go to his goal - to become a real actor.

Playing on stage and filming a movie
After training, Yuri Grebenshchikov became an artist of the Moscow Drama Theater. Stanislavsky, in which many famous Soviet actors began their careers. He managed to fully reveal in 1978, when a talented director Anatoly Vasiliev came to the theater. Under his leadership, Grebenshchikov brilliantly played roles in the performances "The Adult Daughter of a Young Man" and "Vassa Zheleznova." In 1982, already as comrades, they moved to work at the Taganka Theater, where they again demonstrated the wonders of stage art.
In the 80s, the film career of Yuri Grebenshchikov began. He played prominent roles in the films Rooks, Valentine, Sashka, A Man from the Country of Green, Special Forces, and others. He was perfectly given the roles of a slightly battered life, but at the same time reasonable and sensitive men, who were a real support for other heroes. He could play equally well the images of both a brave colonel and a former criminal who had taken for the mind.
