Kasparyan Yuri - rock musician, bass player. He became one of the founders of the Kino group, where he played until the death of Viktor Tsoi. Kasparyan later collaborated with Butusov Vyacheslav.
early years
Yuri Dmitrievich was born on June 24, 1963. His hometown is Leningrad. His father is an entomologist, his mother worked as a biologist. The boy became interested in music early, from the age of 7 he attended music school (cello class).
Then Yura became interested in rock, mastered the guitar. In the 80s, Kasparyan was part of several music groups, where he played with friends.
Creative biography
In 1983, Maxim Kolosov, a friend of Yuri, was invited to the Kino group. Kasparyan went with him to rehearsals, then he was accepted into the team. Later, Yuri became a friend of Tsoi. In "Cinema" Kasparyan remained until 1990, participated in the creation of eight albums. The "Black Album" musicians finalized and released after the death of Tsoi.
In 1985, Yuri also played in Pop Mechanics, the team was created by Sergey Kuryokhin. In 1987, when Choi starred in the film "Needle", the musicians of "Cinema" recorded the album "Start". It does not contain studio recordings, this is rehearsal material. In 2015, it was restored and put on sale.
In the 90s, Kasparyan left the stage, devoted time to the study of philosophy, esotericism, communicated with art groups. He also participated in conceptual projects. In 1996, Yuri released his album "Dragon Keys". In the same period, he met the famous Butusov Vyacheslav, recorded an album with him.
Later, the Star Paddle CD was released, another Kino musician, Igor Tikhomirov, participated in the work on its creation. Rumors appeared in the press about the revival of the group. In 2001, Butusov and Kasparyan organized the U-Peter band; the repertoire included the songs Nautilus and Kino. The famous album of the band "Name of the Rivers" was released in 2003. "U-Peter" existed until 2017.
In 2010, Yuri participated in the creation of the project "Symphonic Cinema", where songs of Tsoi Viktor were accompanied by an orchestra. Symphonic versions created by Widow Igor. The project was quite successful.
To the 55th anniversary of Tsoi Kasparyan and Kukryniksy recorded a cover of the song "We are with you." In 2017, Yuri founded the group "CHIC Project", which began to play funky disco. In 2018, Kasparyan also performs in the Symphonic Cinema project.
