The future Russian statesman was born on September 26, 1960 in the city of Karasuk, in the Novosibirsk Region. Yurchenko received his education at the Institute of Water Transport Engineers of Novosibirsk, where he graduated with a degree in Automation of Industrial Installations.
After graduation, Vasily Alekseevich worked for some time as an electrician in the river port of Salekhard. Then he worked for a long time and successfully in the Sibselmash production association (Novosibirsk). He started as an ordinary mechanic, he grew up to the head of the enterprise.
