Julia Belyaeva is one of the most successful Estonian fencers on swords, and a multiple winner of the World Championships, Europe. He is engaged under the guidance of his aunt, part-time experienced coach, Natalia Kotova.
Biography
Early period
Yulia Belyaeva was born in the Estonian city of Tartu on July 21, 1992. The girl showed interest in physical education from early childhood. From the age of six, Julia was engaged in folk dances and choral singing. Later she started going to sports camps. Belyaev was accompanied everywhere by her mother’s sister - Natalya Kotova. She already was considered one of the best fencing trainers in the region. It was thanks to Aunt Natasha that the sporting fate of Julia was predetermined. At the age of 8, she already skillfully managed a sword.
Career
The first years of training showed that if desired, Julia will be able to achieve high achievements. The girl was ready to do daily, showed good technique, performance.
In 2012, at the European Championships in Legnano, Julia Belyaeva, working in a team with Irina Embrich, Kristina Kuusk, Erica Kirpu, was awarded a bronze medal. A year later, in Zagreb, the girls improved their performance, achieving a golden dignity award.
2013 brought another victory. At the World Cup, Julia went to the finals and confidently beat the famous Anna Sivkova, who plays for Russia.
New success - in 2015, at the European Championships in Switzerland, the Estonian team, which included Yulia Belyaeva, won silver.
In the summer of 2016 at the European Championships in Torun, the athlete showed a high level of sword proficiency, helped her team to take the gold medal in the team tournament.
The following year was especially successful for Julia. At the World Championships, the Estonian won a bronze medal in a personal epee. Repeated her success at the European Championships.
At the world championship, she brought the first gold medal in the team championship in the history of her native country. After this event, Belyaev was recognized as the best athlete of the year. This girl is still proud of all of Estonia.
In 2018, Julia for the second time in a row became the third in the individual tournament and in the team championship of the European Championship. With this, she won the respect of even more fans of fencing.
Currently, Julia continues to build a sports career, but has time and education. She is studying at the Tartu Medical School. Will Belyaev work in the future in the profession, even the girl’s close friends do not undertake to speak.
