People of the older generation remember those times when the song "Well", performed by Yaroslav Evdokimov, sounded on radio and television. Simple words and a simple motive possessed such energy that it is difficult to put into words. The audience came to the singer’s performances and, with bated breath, waited for the cherished words - well, give a sip of happiness.
The vicissitudes of fate
Many people know the simple folk wisdom that parents do not choose. And one more short remark - a decent person does not renounce his mother and father. According to the entry in the passport, Yaroslav Aleksandrovich Evdokimov was born in the city of Rivne. The child was born in November 1946, and this happened in a prison hospital. Parents were arrested on charges of collaborating with fascist occupiers. By court verdict, they were sent to serve their sentences in the Siberian North, in the city of Norilsk.
Evdokimov’s childhood passed in the family of the grandfather Khariton, who worked as a village blacksmith. They loved the child and from the youngest nails taught him to work, to respect the elders and not offend the weak. The favorable climate of those places and picturesque nature contributed to the emergence and development of song culture. It was in his native places that the boy formed a love of singing. At first, these were timid attempts, which were approved and supported by Aunt Gann, my mother’s sister. When Yaroslav was nine years old, his mother came to the village and took him with her.
By that time, special educational institutions had already appeared in Norilsk. In parallel with studying at a comprehensive school, the boy attended music. Then he entered the local music school in order to receive secondary specialized education. There was no vocal department at the school and I had to master the technique of playing the double bass. In the future, the biography developed according to the standard scheme. He served three years in the army. In the construction battalion. He showed himself as the best company humming. After demobilization, he returned to his native village.
