Childhood and youth
The biography of this actor can be read as a dramatic novel. The creative path of Vladimir Fedorovich Shishkin was non-standard. He had an attractive appearance and knew how to wear a tailcoat just like the British lords wear it. This ability was the envy of some colleagues. Without vocal training, the actor performed on the stage of the Operetta Theater for many years. Critics spoke positively of him, the audience loved him. The future theater and film artist was born on May 6, 1919 in the family of an engineer. Parents at that time lived in Moscow.
Father, a major textile specialist, came from Austria to Soviet Russia at the invitation of the government. He led the restoration of the famous weaving factory "Trekhgornaya manufactory". Here he met the Russian beauty Valya, a weaver who worked in a factory. They began to live together, and their son was born. When the invited specialist ended the contract, he left for his homeland. Valentina did not dare to go with him and soon married the weaving technologist Fedor Shishkin, who adopted the child.

Creative activity
Vladimir Shishkin from an early age demonstrated creative abilities. He easily memorized poetry and sang songs that he heard on the radio. In school years, the boy actively participated in amateur art shows. He attended classes at a theater studio that operated in the Zamoskvoretsky House of Pioneers. After leaving school in 1935, Vladimir decided to get a specialized education at the acting department of the Moscow Theater School. As a student, Shishkin starred in the film "The Struggle Continues." During the war, he, along with a film studio, was evacuated to Alma-Ata.
Shishkin's acting career at that time was developing quite safely. After the Victory, he was invited to the Kiev Theater of Musical Comedy. Three years later, Vladimir Fedorovich was diagnosed with tuberculosis. To undergo an effective course of treatment, he moved to Riga. After recovering, the actor served in a local operetta for some time. He was noticed by the metropolitan directors and invited to Moscow. Here Shishkin entered the service at the Moscow Operetta Theater, in which he went on stage for more than thirty years.
