Hockey biography
Vladimir Yakovlevich Lutchenko was born on January 2, 1949 in a small urban-type village of Ramenskoye, in the Moscow Region. Vladimir's father left the family when the boy was not even seven years old. Mom worked all day at the factory and little Volodya was left to his own devices. His childhood passed on the street in the company of neighboring children, where he learned to play football and basketball quite well. When an energetic and capable boy skated, hockey became his main hobby.
In his youth, Vladimir Lutchenko, because of his high growth, looked older than his peers. This allowed him to join the local hockey club as a teenager. Passion for an interesting game became stronger, and Volodya did not miss a single broadcast of world hockey. The young man had a dream - to become a great hockey player.
