Biography
Veronika Plyashkevich was born in the Byelorussian SSR in 1984, in the town of Zhodino. Her family is far from the world of art, and therefore parents were surprised where their daughter came from such talents: she sang well, read poetry. And it was clear that she really liked all this.
At first, she showed her talents in amateur performances, then she studied in a music studio. However, after school, Veronica decided to get an acting education and entered the Belarusian Academy of Arts.
She told in an interview that the student was madly in love with the theater. And she didn’t even have a thought that she could act in films. Moreover, the teachers did not approve of the combination of study and work on the set. She especially loved, and now loves to play the roles of women with a difficult fate and strong character
Actress career
After receiving a diploma from the Academy, Veronika joined the Minsk Drama Theater. The beginning of her theatrical career was bright - she played the role of Catherine in the play "The Taming of the Shrew" and immediately received her first award. It was both a recognition of the talent of the young actress and as a ticket to life: after that she had very interesting roles in theatrical productions.
It’s logical that she was noticed by “cinema” directors, and in 2007 Veronika already starred in the film “The Shield of the Fatherland”. The film debut was also brilliant, and as a result - an invitation to roles from Russian directors. In addition, Veronica's photos appeared in magazines, on Internet portals, and everyone wrote about her as a rising star.
The following years were filled with work in the theater and at the same time filming in the cinema. Another significant role came to Plyashkevich with the film "At the Crossroads" (2011). This comedy brought her fame, recognition of critics and viewers and a lot of invitations to other projects - she played her role so subtly and truthfully that it was simply impossible to play better.
Life has become saturated, difficult and interesting. For example, in 2012, Veronica immediately starred in ten films. And in four of them she had the main roles.
Her best films are considered the film "Beauty and the Beast" (2014) and the series "Death to Spies. Fox hole" (2012). Recently, she starred mainly in short films and television films.
However, the theater remains the main love of Veronika Plyashkevich, and she is happy that she is in demand in her beloved profession.
