Biography
Mia Wasikowska was born in 1989 in Canberra, in a family of professional photographers. Her mother is Polish, her father is Australian, except Mia they have two more children. From an early age, the future actress dreamed of ballet. She even studied in a ballet studio for seven years in parallel with her studies at school.
However, strict selection did not pass, but at the age of 15 she received an invitation to act in films. And that forever changed her life.
Movie career
At first she starred in Australia in the films "Mayhem on the outskirts", "All Saints", "September" and others. And then she was invited to Hollywood, and she had a personal manager.
In Hollywood, Mia worked on the same site with stars such as Richard Gere and Daniel Craig. She starred in dramas, melodramas, comedies. And in 2010, the actress’s real finest hour came: shooting in “Alice in Wonderland” by Tim Burton himself.

As soon as she read the book, Mia called the agent and asked if Bronte’s movie would be shot - he was very impressed with her. It unexpectedly turned out that in six months BBC films would begin shooting this picture. And Vasikowski got the main role. Her partners were the famous Michael Fassbender and the legendary Judy Dench. The film was nominated for an Academy Award.
