Valery Klimov is a famous musician, violinist, multiple winner of prestigious competitions. The performer was awarded the title of Honored and People's Artist of the RSFSR, and is also the People's Artist of the USSR.

Valery Alexandrovich Klimov was born in 1931, on October 16, in Kiev. His father was a famous conductor. From an early age, the boy showed a talent for music. The first lessons for his son were given by Alexander Ignatievich.
The path to the musical Olympus
From the age of seven, Valery enrolled in a special school in Odessa for musically gifted children. The young virtuoso was revealed the secrets of virtuoso possession of the instrument. He studied under Peter Stolyarsky as an outstanding teacher, professor.

Two years later, the young violinist moved to the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. He fell into the class of world-famous musician David Oistrakh. In 1956, under his leadership, Klimov completed his education and in 1959 completed graduate school.
Back in student days, success came to the performer. He became the winner of the violin competition at the Third World Youth and Student Berlin Festival in 1955, the laureate of the International Paris Competition.
At the Prague Spring, the Joseph Slavik violin tournament, in 1956 won the first prize. Valery was the first at the Frantisek Ondricecek tournament in Prague.

Since 1957, Klimov has soloed in the metropolitan philharmonic. In 1958, he became world famous for winning the first Tchaikovsky International Competition. His talent was noted by Aram Khachaturian, who became a member of the international jury.

At the same time, a virtuoso eagerly plays musical miniatures. In them, Valery Aleksandrovich demonstrates the most effective techniques of masterly mastery of the violin. With brilliant mastery, he plays the works of Paganini, Spanish dance Sarasate, Hungarian dance of Brahms.
The musician’s repertoire is wide. Music of contemporaries in it is assigned one of the most important places. Klimov especially likes to turn to the work of Prokofiev. He interprets the sonatas of Hindemith and Izaya in an authorial way. Since 1958, a virtuoso with concerts has traveled to many cities of the country, traveled abroad.
He was applauded by students from the United States, Zealand, Cuba, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Monaco, Great Britain, Turkey, Sweden. He played at world-famous venues: the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, New York Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, London Albert Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Sydney Opera Hall.
In addition to solo concerts, the musician often performs with well-known symphony groups. He played with the Leningrad Mravinsky Orchestra. State orchestras of their country, London, Berlin, Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
