Valery Andreev is called the "Orsk monster." Like many other killer maniacs, he was an unremarkable man, led an ordinary life, worked, raised children. What made him commit terrible crimes? How many women did he actually rape and kill? Why is he still not caught?
Orsk Monster Biography and Family
Valery Andreev was born in mid-April 1957 (10th day). Nothing is known about his childhood and youth, parents. He was an ordinary, average Russian, he worked all his life as a truck driver on long-haul flights. Leadership and colleagues characterized him positively, responded as a calm, responsive, but somewhat withdrawn person. He even tried to leave on a flight alone, outside the so-called "caravan" of heavy trucks. But for some time, no one paid attention to this feature of his character and behavior.
The maniac also had a family - a spouse and two children. At the time when the true face of Valery Andreev was revealed, the children were already adults. His wife could not believe that her beloved man, with whom she had lived half her life, was a savage and murderer. In one of her few interviews, the woman said that the situation does not fit in her mind, the crimes of which he is accused do not fit in with the image of the person she knows. But Valery Andreev’s involvement in at least three murders has been proven. In total, he is suspected of committing seven murders. And how much he accomplished, working as a trucker and carefully covering his tracks, in general - it remains a mystery.
Crime
During the investigation, the police revealed that Valery Andreev began to rape and kill his random fellow travelers in 2006. At that time, the man was almost 50 years old. What was the impetus for him to commit such grave and terrible crimes is not known. Psychologists believe that the reason lies not in the turning point and in the fact that the spouse began to age and did not suit Andreev anymore. The craving for violence was laid in him from birth, but he managed to hide or disguise it.
Valery picked up his potential victims on the road or at the bus stop. He opted for single girls, and most of them at that time had any personal problems. Experts are sure that the maniac felt this intuitively.
Andreev strangled the victims until they lost consciousness, but he killed them only after he raped. After some violence, he kept some girls in his garage for some time. He masked the traces of crimes in the room with lime and putty. The maniac transported corpses to the steppe, where wild animals brought them to a state in which girls can be recognized only after examination at the DNA level. This sophistication in concealing evidence and allowed him to hide his crimes for a long time.
How the police went on the trail of a maniac
For 6 long years, the police and prosecutors of Orsk carefully concealed information that a serial criminal appeared in the city and its environs, killing girls and women. Law enforcement officials, under pain of dismissal, were prohibited from discussing work matters outside their offices. The case received wide publicity after the disappearance of Olga Zhuravleva. The maniac made an unforgivable mistake - many witnesses saw how the girl got into his car, and then disappeared.
Valery Andreev and his whole family were summoned for interrogation, but on the same day the alleged killer and rapist were released. The policemen justified the excuse completely absurd - at that time they did not find any reason to detain the man. He was simply given a summons to appear in the department the next day, but Andreev did not appear there. Early in the morning he left in an unknown direction, and from that moment until today he was never caught, but his guilt in several episodes has already been proved.
A few days after the escape, Valery Andreev called his wife from someone else's phone. To her reasonable question about why he was hiding, he replied - "let them understand." Then many ordinary people decided that he was innocent and simply did not hope for justice. But during a search of his garage, a working car, the police found numerous evidence of crimes - traces of blood, personal belongings and jewelry of the victims.
