Macau is a city in the PRC, located on the coast of the South China Sea. From 1557 to 1999 was a Portuguese colony. Like Hong Kong, it has wide autonomy. The population is 568 thousand inhabitants. In addition to low fertility, it has the lowest fertility rate on the planet - 0.91 births per woman. At the same time, Macau ranks second in the world in average life expectancy, after Monaco.
