Headgear is an indispensable attribute of military equipment. In inclement weather, it protects from rain, in cold weather it protects from frost. But there are special hats, the wearing of which becomes for the warrior a symbol of belonging to the elite. To them can be attributed and maroon beret. To earn it, the fighter has to go through serious trials.
In which troops are they wearing a maroon beret
Being a standard element of uniform, berets have long been popular in the armies of different countries of the world. Most often, they have a certain color, which allows you to attribute the beret owner to a specific military branch or special forces unit. Such hats are often worn by army special forces and other elite units, for example, airborne assault forces or marines.
Dark red beret appeared in the Soviet Union at the end of the 70s of the last century, when the first special forces unit was formed as part of the Dzerzhinsky division. Krapovy beret almost immediately became not so much an attribute of uniforms as a sign of the highest professional qualifications of its owner. According to such a headdress, the initiates recognized the special forces from afar.
Today, only those fighters of special purpose units included in the structure of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who have proved their right to this distinctive mark with their physical training, professional skills and moral-volitional qualities are wearing maroon berets. To be eligible to wear this headgear, special tests are required.
