Persons with disabilities is a separate category of citizens who have fallen into difficult life situations, which they are unable to cope on their own. Their social adaptation, despite the help of the state, is a difficult process.
The state undertakes to provide material assistance to this category of people, as well as to create all conditions for the full life of people with disabilities. A special role in supporting the life of people with disabilities is played by social protection institutions as part of the social sphere of society. They provide services that include primary household services, medical assistance, legal advice, and, one of the most important, psychological support.
People with disabilities face a lot of problems every day, which are extremely difficult for them to overcome alone. One of the central difficulties is loneliness. Without the support of relatives, friends, relatives, it is difficult for them to create an internal positive attitude in order to develop personal potential for rehabilitation in society and adaptation to new living conditions. With the assistance of a disabled person, a social worker is always ready to help reveal his opportunities, thanks to which he could adapt, reveal himself on the other hand. But often people with disabilities are closed from people, creating their own inner world, the so-called carapace, thereby refusing to receive any help not only from social services, but also from relatives.
Social adaptation of people with disabilities is a rather laborious process. Although this category receives material and social support from the state in the form of a social package, this is only one aspect of assistance. If you do not destroy all the barriers that surround them, this help will be completely superficial.
The main psychological barrier in the life of a disabled person is misunderstanding on the part of others. As a rule, they strive to return to a past life, have the goal of rehabilitating themselves, but are faced with the fact that their attitude towards them changes dramatically. People around them no longer regard them as full-fledged people who are able to work productively for the good of society. It is worth noting the measures of the state, which quotes jobs for people with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to return to work and feel needed.
An inclusive education program is being implemented for children with disabilities. It allows students with disabilities to receive education on a par with peers without pathologies. However, this often leads to difficulties with the technical equipment of buildings and premises for the full movement of children with disabilities.
