Biography and career of Lilia Mikhailovna Tolmacheva
On June 6, 1932, in the village of Rudnevo (now Volgograd Region), the future legendary actress of the national theater and cinema was born into a teaching family. Interestingly, a contemporary of Lilia - Oleg Tabakov - studied at school with her mother. And from the age of five, the girl ended up in an orphanage, about which she subsequently spoke very warmly. After all, it was there that the future actress showed her first creative talents, actively participating in amateur performances.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Lilia Tolmacheva (creative pseudonym Lilia) entered the Moscow Art Theater School (workshop of Blinnikov and Stanitsyn). In 1950, with a diploma of graduation, she begins her professional career with service in the Saratov Youth Theater. Here her portfolio is filled with her debut theatrical projects "What to do?" and Romeo and Juliet.
After a two-year period of work in the Youth Theater, Tolmacheva returned to the capital, where until 1956 she went on the stage of the Mossovet Theater. During this period, her repertoire was made by the productions of Masquerade, Theft, In Quiet Lane and Karin Lefebvre.
And then followed a very long (more than half a century) and fruitful period of work in Sovremennik, where Lilia Mikhailovna made her debut from the play Eternally Alive. Interestingly, the community of like-minded people, who became her real family, repeatedly stopped the impulses of the actress to leave the stage. She was so deeply immersed in the theatrical activities of her native institution that then she often repeated about his leading role in her life in general.
The cinematic debut of the People's Artist of the RSFSR took place in 1958 with the role of Nina in the film "Life Passed By." Her filmography revealingly suggests that the main emphasis in her professional career, the actress made it on the theatrical stage. However, her roles in the film projects "Ordinary History" and "Steep Route" fell in love with her fans' multimillion army.
And the period 1977-1980. For Tolmacheva, it also became a time for the realization of her creative abilities in the director's field, when she was able to put on three projects in Sovremennik and the Gorky Moscow Art Theater.
