Biography and early years
Timofey Pavlovich was born on July 16, 1986 in Leningrad, USSR. In a large family, Timothy was the youngest, fourth son. The boy inherited the genes from his father. Pavel Brain - in the past, a professional handball player. A father always wanted his sons to become athletes.
From an early age, even in elementary school, Timothy began to play basketball in the Admiralty SDYUSHOR. When the boy was 10 years old, the family moved to the village of Enem, the Republic of Adygea. Despite the move and new living conditions, the boy did not leave the sport. For the sake of a future career, in order to achieve his dream, the boy had to leave every day in the Krasnodar Territory, to train for Yevgeny Lysenko. Thanks to his instructions, the boy moved to St. Petersburg and continued to deal with more professional players. On the advice of a trainer, at the age of sixteen Timofey independently leaves for the St. Petersburg basketball boarding school. The first games were held as part of the LenVo team. At the youth level, he played for CSKA-VVS and Khimki, and then made his debut in a team near Moscow.
Timothy is a fan of sports cars. If possible, attend a rally. By his example, he refutes the view that most male athletes are not educated. Brains read a lot of fiction, so friends and acquaintances consider him a rather interesting conversationalist. He also does not forget about his hometown. In St. Petersburg in 2011, Timothy organized a tournament for young basketball players called “Brain CUP”, which has now become an annual event. Professional career
Timofey’s career began in Khimki. For the entire first season, Timothy participated in only 13 dreams. Since 2007, he has been transferred to the main team. Success comes to the athlete quickly. In the match against Bilbao, he sets his next record for the Final Eight - five block shots. By 2010, Timothy’s height was 216 cm and weight 120 kg. In the Russian team, Mozgov has always been a 4 center player; in the 2013-2014 season, thanks to a new personal record for selecting and exceeding the achievements of previous Russians in NVA, he became the main player in the team.
In January 2015, Timothy Mozgov moves and continues to play with the Cleveland Cavaliers team. As part of his team, coach David Blatt, who in the past led the Russian team, wanted to see him. From the very first matches, Timothy helped defend his new team to become better and transform. In 2015, Mozgov became part of the Russian team to prepare for Eurobasket 2015. On July 8, 2016, Timofey signed a 4-year contract with the LA Lakers for $ 64 million. But the Russian basketball player failed to start the game in the new club, and already in June 2017 he was sold to Brooklyn Nets.
He currently plays for the Charlotte Hornets team in the Southeast Division, owned by the popular American basketball player Michael Jordan since 2010.
