Biography
Til Lindeman was born on January 4, 1963. This is a German musician, singer, composer, actor, poet and pyrotechnician. He is famous for being the leader of the German heavy rock band Rammstein. Lindeman developed a unique stage style, and some of his texts are rather ambiguous. And, probably, due to this, Rammstein sold more than 45 million records, and five of their albums received platinum status.
Lindemann was born in Leipzig and raised in the village of Wendish-Rambov. The famous musician has a younger sister named Saskia. At 11, he began attending a sports school. Relations of parents did not develop, and in 1975 they finally broke up. The children lived for some time with his father, but he drank heavily, and in 1977 Lindemann began attending a boarding school, where he received education until 1980.
After success in swimming in 1978, Til was included in the list of athletes who were going to the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. But due to injury, young Lindemann had to leave the sport. Then he was a student at the carpenter, worked as a technician in the gallery, weaved baskets and cut peat.
Career
In 1986, Lindeman began playing drums in experimental rock band First Arsch, which released its first compilation in 1992. And in 1989, Lindeman played one song with another punk rock band Feeling B., in which future members of Rammstein performed: Paul Landers, Christoph Schneider and Christian Lorenz.
In the 1990s, Lindemann himself writes the texts and forms Rammstein, the team was named so in memory of the crash at the Ramstein air show. After 4 years, the group wins a competition for shows in Berlin, which gives them the opportunity to record four professional tracks. And Lindeman moves to Berlin.
In the early years of the group's existence, Lindeman manages to get burns to his hands, feet and even ears due to excessive use of pyrotechnics at his concerts. A member of the group, Christoph Schneider, once said that Til is constantly burned, but he likes the pain. In September 1996, a fire broke out at the concert, after which Lindemann learned professional pyrotechnics and received a certificate.
Throughout the existence of the group, she left a mixed opinion about herself. For example, in 1999, after performances in Portland, the guilt of the Colombine massacre was hanged on Rammstein's music. In November 2002, Lindemann's book was published, which consists of 54 verses collected by the pyrotechnic group Gert Hof. He is also the author of Rammstein.
In 2011, Roadrunners Records gave the 50th line of its list of the best rock frontmen of the world to Till Lindeman. In 2013, Lindeman published his second book with poems.
On his 52nd birthday, Thiel announced the creation of a new project called Lindeman with Peter Teggtren. The group released their debut album Skillsin Pills in the summer of 2015.
Til Lindeman also managed to try his hand at cinema, playing in the movie "Three X's" with his band "Rammstein."
