Childhood
Svetlana Mikhailovna was born on September 20, 1959 in Leningrad. The real name of Svetlana is Shimbereva. Her family made sure that the girl received a versatile development, and sent Svetlana to a music school to study piano. As a teenager, Svetlana for the first time listened to a record record of the songs of the famous bard Bulat Okudzhava. The girl really liked this music, she also decided to learn how to play the guitar and create poems. Her first teacher was an experienced teacher, whose name was Ivan Klimovich. Svetlana enthusiastically attended classes and sat diligently with a guitar at home, honing her mastery of the instrument every day. But difficulties arose in the way of the girl. In 1980, she broke her spine. Due to a serious injury, doctors forbade Svetlana to sit. The beginning guitarist showed great perseverance, practicing daily, but not sitting, but lying down.
The beginning of adulthood
In 1982, Svetlana received her first higher education, graduating from the Leningrad Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics. This seemed to her not enough, and the girl entered the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute named after Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov-Lenin. Svetlana received her second diploma in 1984. After graduation, the girl worked for seven years as a design engineer.
Creative activity
While studying at the Institute, Svetlana and her friends attended a club called Meridian. She first got there in 1981. This club often hosted concerts at which singers performed. Svetlana at first came just to listen to music, and then she began to perform there. In 1984, the singer became a laureate of the music competition "Spring Drops", which took place in this club.
The young singer soon began performing in other cities. In 1985, she sang her songs at the festival in Kazan. A year later, Svetlana performed on the same stage with the laureates of the Grushinsky festival. In 1987, she gave concerts in Minsk, Kharkov, Monchegorsk, Moscow and Dnepropetrovsk. Svetlana also visited Germany, France, Israel and the USA with concerts.
In 1991, Svetlana Mikhailovna released her debut album, entitled "Stozhary". The album was made by the oldest recording company Melody in the USSR. It was the last vinyl record that the company released.
In 1992, Svetlana began working at the Fund for Assisting Disabled Children, which was located in St. Petersburg. In the fund, Svetlana led the direction of the author's song. Svetlana liked to teach children music, and she got a job in a kindergarten. The singer worked there for eight years. In parallel with the main work, she taught guitar accompaniment courses.
In 1996, the second album of the singer was released, to which she gave the name "Songs of Sun Bunnies." In the album, not only the guitar sounded, but also the button accordion and piano, on which Vladimir Sapogov played for recording. Vladimir Nikolaev recorded the second guitar. The album contains 35 tracks.
Hobbies
Svetlana Vetrova has always been a diversified person. She had a technical education, but all her life she was engaged in art. In addition to music, her areas of interest include: psychology, foreign languages, pedagogy, visual arts and medicine.
Svetlana graduated from courses of graphic designers and school of stenographers, was engaged in cutting and sewing. At the Department of Psychology, St. Petersburg State University, Svetlana studied the meanings of children's drawings. Resting in Thailand, the singer professionally learned to do Thai massage. Svetlana received medical knowledge and skills at home nursing courses. The artist has studied English for two years and speaks French.
Cooperation
In 2011, Svetlana began to cooperate with Natalia Gudkova-Sarpova. They recorded three discs with original songs, which are called "Thoughts hidden", "Gift" and "Our lives half." In the same year, the duo was awarded a diploma at the Grushinsky festival. Svetlana and Natalia performed in Russia, in France and in Germany.
Svetlana recorded songs with the children with whom she worked. The result of the children's contribution to the singer’s work was the release of the album “About Kokhu and Mykhu” in 2010. The record includes children's songs, illustrations and sheet music. The songs were composed by poems by Lesya Ukrainka, Andrei Usachev, Mikhail Grigoriev, Marina Boroditskaya and the works of other famous poets. The album was recorded specifically for the musical directors of preschool educational institutions and for teachers from secondary schools. The book can also be useful to parents who are concerned about the musical development of the child.
