Lately, coloring old, black and white films has become increasingly popular. By no means to all paintings, such a transformation is beneficial. So the desirability of coloring is in question.

Is it worth it to watch colorized films?
The weakness and power of coloring old films is in technology. The fact is that the tapes, of course, are not painted manually, since this would have taken an awful lot of time, computers do all the work after making markings and calculations. And here the problems begin.
Really old films that were shot in black and white, because it was cheaper or simpler, usually do not have any more details in the frame. The picture is so thought out and licked (to neutralize the imperfection of the technique) that it is quite easy to colorize it using computer technology. That is why the old "Cinderella" in color simply came to life. After all, all the plans for this film were built for those old cameras that simply "stammered" about excessive detail. So, the work of coloring or coloring in this case was quite simple.
Gone With The Wind was one of the first pictures shot in color using sophisticated technology using color filters, three different films and other tricks.
