Again, the girls pleased the audience in 2014 with their performance at the Copenhagen Eurovision Song Contest.
Childhood time
The girls were born on January 14 in Kursk in 1997. Father is a factory worker, mother is a teacher at a local music school.
At the age of six, the twins began serious studies at the children's studio Cricket. Later, Masha and Nastya performed with the studio "Jam".
At first, the teacher refused to take too small artists in her opinion. However, after listening to the decision changed.
From an early age, sisters were distinguished by musical predilections. Masha preferred domestic performers. Nastya liked foreign rhythms more.
The sisters actively participated in competitions. The first results were victories in the Golden Rook, Nevsky Zvezdochki and I, the Constellations of the Young, which took place in 2005. New successes increasingly brought closer to the high point.
Fulfillment of desire
In 2006, at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the Tolmachev sisters fulfilled their childhood dream and brought victory to their native country. The song "Spring Jazz" was written independently.
Creative activity intensified after the triumph. In 2007, young singers took part in the "Slavic Bazaar", became the owners of the prize of the Muz-TV Prize.
Then the shooting of the musical "Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors" took place. In it, the girls performed the song "Dean-Don" together with Alla Pugacheva.
Nastya and Masha released their album "Halves". However, children's success did not stop creative development. The sisters decided to participate in a more adult competition.
At the end of 2013, it became known that the Tolmachevs would represent Russia at Eurovision-2014. The singers chose the song "Shine" for the performance.
Despite the strongest competition, the girls confidently performed in the semifinals and advanced to the finals.
Successful career
The singers were received very warmly. They became universal favorites. At the Grand Final, the sisters sang impeccably, but the winner was the most shocking participant, Conchita Wurst.
After the prestigious competition, the girls' career went up. In the same years, the Tolmachevs introduced the hit "Half." A year later, the clip was shot in black and white.
For girls, the songs "My Heart" and "Two Loves One" were created. The Tolmachevs were members of the jury of the qualifying round of the project “Voice. Children”, held in Kursk in 2015.
In the One-to-One program, the sisters performed in the guise of the Baccara duo.
After the ninth grade, the girls decided to enter the Gnessin School.
Parents dissuaded them from the venture, offering to finish their studies.
