Biography
Sergey Plekhanov was born in Sverdlovsk in 1949. In this city, he graduated from high school and went into adulthood. Whatever he worked, while gaining life experience, so necessary for writing work! He was the head of a village club - he organized evenings and film screenings for collective farmers; He was a journalist and wrote about the news of the region; even a fireman managed to work.
At the same time, Sergei Nikolaevich received a rather prestigious education: he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and the Gorky Literary Institute.
Writer career
For the first time, his name sounded loud in connection with critical articles that Plekhanov published in defense of the science fiction department of the Young Guard publishing house. This publishing house published books by the most famous science fiction writers of the time. These books are still loved and read.
The writer himself, in 1989, with the help of The Young Guard, released the science fiction novel The Lost Horseman. According to the plot of the book, the heroes fall into the "temporary funnel" and move in time, learning in detail the facts from the history of their country in different eras. The book is interesting in that the main characters are representatives of different eras, and getting to other times, they learn more and understand their origins. The main idea of the novel: the Slavs-Aryans deceived their faith by deception and forcefully christened it into Christianity.

This message is all the more paradoxical because in his review of the book of the famous Strugatsky brothers “Burdened with Evil” Plekhanov defends Christianity precisely as the only acceptable faith for the Slavs.

Another notable novel by Sergei Plekhanov is “Breakfast at Calvary, ” which was released in 2009. He describes the events taking place in the first century AD. The protagonists of the book are a Soviet dissident journalist, SS Hauptsturmfuhrer and a student who lives after perestroika and privatization in Russia. The novel intertwines political, religious, ethical themes. In the end, it all ends with a “reception” from the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate, and very unusual in its denouement.
