Instruction manual
1
Start in the sixties. One of the most significant figures in rock music of the late sixties and early seventies of the twentieth century is the figure of Jimi Hendrix - an American virtuoso guitarist. Jimi Hendrix, according to many modern rock musicians, had a huge influence on the formation of rock music and became practically the founder of the psychedelic trend in rock. Hendricks played on two of the musical bands The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys. A feature of the music performed by Jimi was the constant use of the Wah-wah guitar effect, which made the sound of this band unique.
2
Go to the seventies. The iconic figures of these years were the leaders of the groups Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin Richie Blackmore, John Lord and Jimmy Page with Robert Plant. Two incredibly talented English bands became the progenitors of hard rock. Ritchie Blackmore and John Lord are guitarists and keyboardists for Deep Purple. They own such world famous rock hits as Smoke on the water and Child in time, where Deep Purple vocalist Jan Gillan also excelled. More heaviness in the keys and at the same time melody in the guitar solo - this is a characteristic feature of the play of these musicians.
3
Listen to Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant - guitarist and vocalist Led Zeppelin - became the main composers of the group. The band’s first album of the same name was an incredible success. A distinctive feature of the performance of these musicians was the use of psychedelic techniques in both vocals and guitar performance. In particular, Jimmy Page often used the violin bow when playing the guitar, thus creating long-playing sounds.
4
Pay attention to the blues. He became another rapidly developing direction in rock music of the 70s, one of the most prominent representatives of which was guitarist Eric Clapton. Clapton's music found great popularity both in the twentieth and in the twenty-first century. The incredibly great talent of the guitarist allowed him to stand on the same stage with the blues legend BB King, with whom Eric had a joint creative project. Ease in the removal of each note - this can be described as a feature of Clapton's blues performance.

Moving on, do not pass by such famous rock musicians as Joe Satriani and Steve Wai. Two virtuoso guitarists breathed life into the direction of rock music, which was already dying when they raised it to a new level. As you know, Steve Wye was once a student of Satriani, learning from him guitar skills. Knowing such famous tunes as Tender Surrender or For the Love of God, we can say that the lessons were not in vain. Many critics would say that Satriani's music is a solid demonstration of technology. However, in fact, Joe Satriani only showed that the new technique of playing the guitar opens up immense opportunities for creativity in rock music.
