Biography
Robert Allen Palmer was born on January 19, 1949 in England in the small town of Battle, which is located in the picturesque surroundings of Yorkshire County. Robert lived in Malta until his adulthood. This is an island state of the Mediterranean Sea, where his parents brought him in infancy. As a child, the boy was interested in music, played several musical instruments and performed in front of the audience, performing his favorite jazz compositions. In his school years, Robert Palmer did not leave his musical passion, except that he began to draw well.
After graduating from secondary school, the young man decided to enter the art academy to study design art. However, the chosen profession very quickly bored him. Robert Palmer moves to London and adjoins one of the backyard jazz groups.
Musical education
Participation in the work of the musical groups "The Alan Bown Set", "Dada", "Vinegar Joe" allowed the artist to gain experience and hone his skills. Robert Palmer studied various musical styles - soul, jazz, rhythm and blues. The young musician remained a member of the band for a year, after which he changed several more ensembles until he decided to pursue a solo career.
Creativity and success
In 1974, Robert Palmer released his first solo album, but this record does not bring much success. After long wanderings in the cities of America and attempts to record new musical compositions in 1978, fame comes to the musician. The fateful fourth album is becoming popular and is among the ten best collections of jazz compositions. Without stopping his solo career and releasing more than ten albums in 1996, Robert Palmer became a member of the popular British band "DURAN DURAN".
In 2003, the famous musician came to France to record his new record and solo jazz performance at the Paris Philharmonic. However, a tragic event happened - on September 26, Robert Palmer suddenly died of heart failure.
