Richard Break is a British-American film and television actor, best known to viewers for his negative roles. He played the role of the King of the Night in the cult TV series Game of Thrones.

Richard Break was born on November 30, 1964. He first appeared on television in 1993, playing a small role as a reporter in an episode of the popular American comedy series "Jeeves and Worcester." During his creative career, the famous actor starred in more than 15 films and 10 series, as well as took part in the filming of clips and dubbing of video games. Richard has an unusual appearance and charisma, which allows him to excellently play negative heroes and villains.

Richard Break Biography
Richard Break was born Istrad in Wales, UK, in a British family. In 1967, his family moved to the United States. Break has grown in the states of North Carolina, Connecticut, Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio.
Richard received his education at the Western Reserve Academy, located in Hudson, Ohio. And he trained at The Science of Acting under the supervision of Sam Cogan, the founding director of the Academy of Sciences of acting and directing.
After graduating from the academy, he moved to New York, where he studied drama at the studio of Mikhail Chekhov and Beatrice Street.
Personal life
Richard was married to Rachel Break, but their union was short-lived. Rachel and Richard had two wonderful sons: Ryan (in 1999) and Henry (in 2002). Despite the breakup, Break takes an active part in the life and education of his sons.
It is known that Break is a close friend of the famous actor Eddie Marsan, known for playing the role of a villain in the movie "Hakok". Richard even became the godfather of his children.
Career
At the beginning of his career, the actor participated in many theatrical productions, for example, in Cold Mountain and Munich, and then he starred in an episode of the series Jeeves and Worcester, in which the leading roles were played by the successful and famous actors Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry.
In 2005, Richard achieved his first significant role as Joe Chill in the movie of one of the highest grossing directors, Christopher Nolan, "Batman: The Beginning." In this film, Richard plays the role of the criminal who killed the parents of Bruce Wayne. It was Joe Chil who directed Brice on the path to becoming a superhero. Almost immediately after this, Break appeared in the role of Portman in the fantastic action movie of Andrzej Bartkovyak with world-famous actors Karl Urban and Skala. After that, the actor played the villain Bobby De Witt in the movie "Black Orchid."
In 2007, he played the role of a war criminal who killed the protagonist’s sister in the film Hannibal: Ascension, directed by Peter Webber.
In 2013, Richard Break played the role of captain of Einheria in the 2013 popular superhero movie Thor 2: The Kingdom of Darkness. And in 2017, he starred in the French drama comedy Death of Stalin.
The most famous actor brought the role of the sinister King of the Night in the cult television series "Game of Thrones." The stunning, created by the film crew image of the King of the Night, together with the brilliant acting of Break, arouse a feeling among fans of the series, which is a mixture of fear and delight.
Unfortunately, in the 6th season of Game of Thrones, Richard was unable to participate, as he was involved in other projects. Instead, the role of the King of the Night was played by the Slovak actor and stuntman Vladimir Furdik.
