In any state, the right of citizens to a quiet life is ensured by specialized structures. In Russia, the main burden of maintaining order rests with the Ministry of the Interior. For many years, this complex "economy" was led by Rashid Gumarovich Nurgaliev.

Starting conditions
Boys at all times dreamed and will dream of military service. There is nothing surprising or unusual about this. Kids are attracted by the beautiful shape and ability to own weapons. In this sense, Rashid Gumarovich Nurgaliyev was lucky. The child was born on October 8, 1956 in a family of employees of the Ministry of the Interior. Parents at that time served in the Kustanai region of Kazakhstan. The father, in the rank of captain, held the post of detective. Mother worked as a doctor.
After some time, the head of the family was transferred to a new duty station in Karelia. When the time came, Rashid went to school. He studied well. He was friends with classmates. He went in for sports and participated in social events. In 1974 he received a certificate of maturity. The family council decided that it is best for a young man to get an education at the famous Petrozavodsk State University. In 1979, Nurgaliyev completed his studies, returned to his place of residence in the village of Nadvoitsy and began to teach physics in high school.
Nurgaliev’s biography could have turned out differently. Communicating with students and parents, a physics teacher watched how people live in the village, what they dream about and what goals they set for themselves. The ability to communicate with people did not go unnoticed. In 1981, Rashid Gumarovich was invited to the KGB system. From that moment on, the career of the future Minister of the Interior evolved gradually, without disruptions and emergencies.
Official activities
There is nothing surprising in the fact that the first years of Nurgaliyev spent time and spent the night in the service. The authorities set tasks and required an operational solution. And in everyday life often there were situations that had to be reacted as soon as possible. Exposure and the ability to calculate possible options distinguished Rashid Nurgaliyev against the background of colleagues. A few years later he was transferred to the central office of the FSB. In Moscow, the load was several times greater than on the periphery.
In 1998, Nurgaliyev was appointed head of the department for combating the illegal trafficking of narcotic materials and smuggling. The next duty station is the main control department of the Presidential Administration. In autumn 2003, the executive officer was transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs as deputy minister. And already in March 2004, Colonel General Nurgaliev took the post of Minister. For more than eight years, he led the ministry.
