From the biography of Leonid Alexandrovich Radzikhovsky
The future journalist was born on November 1, 1953 in Moscow. His surname comes from the name of the town of Radzihos, which is located in Eastern Poland.
In childhood, Leonid had to face anti-Semitism. He carefully concealed his Jewish origin and always waited for someone to offend him. Now Radzikhovsky admits that his fears were excessively exaggerated: he encountered a genuine manifestation of anti-Semitism only a couple of times.
Radzikhovsky went to the most ordinary school, and then transferred to an elite educational institution in the south-west of the capital.
Leonid's parents were microbiological scientists. Father urged the young man to go to study at the biofacus after leaving school. But Leonid found this perspective very difficult. Therefore, I chose psychology for myself. However, studies at the Faculty of Psychology of Moscow State University did not cause much interest in Radzikhovsky. He was more interested in history and journalism.
Career and work of Leonid Radzikhovsky
In 1975, Leonid received a diploma, after which he worked at the Psychology Research Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Four years later, he became a candidate of science. Radzikhovsky is the author of several dozen works on the history of psychology. He took part in the preparation for the publication of a multi-volume collected works of Vygotsky.
However, Leonid Alexandrovich was not sure of the right choice of profession. He was offered to start working on a doctoral dissertation, but one thought about it terrified him.
Engaged in scientific work, Radzikhovsky began to publish articles on psychology in the Teacher’s Newspaper. His publications were a success. Soon, Leonid’s work began to appear in other publications: in “Chimes”, “Capital”, “Moscow News”. Radzikhovsky wrote well, his articles immediately became popular.
In the early 90s, Radzikhovsky began working as a political observer on Channel One. A little later he was invited to collaborate on the same topics on the radio "Echo of Moscow". In the same period, Radzikhovsky became a deputy of the State Duma, where he became a member of the "Choice of Russia" faction.
In December 1995, Leonid Aleksandrovich became the political observer for Ogonyok. Gradually, he earns himself a reputation as a political strategist. He participated in the compilation of the program of Alexander Lebed when he ran for the highest state post in the country.
