Language is a cultural heritage. This is primarily due to the fact that it is through speech and writing that the history of mankind and most of the great creations of geniuses of different centuries and peoples are transmitted. Otherwise, how would we know what was happening hundreds and thousands of years ago on Earth, what heights culture has reached in one or another century.

Language and History
Most of the history of mankind known to you is presented in manuscripts, letters, documents, print media. At the same time, one of the first materials on which the notes were made are stone, papyrus, birch bark.
A language with quite extensive resources can show pictures of the past in all its colors. All historical events are presented through the prism of the vision of the world of individual authors. Therefore, the story set forth even in documentaries that are closest to the objective reflection of events is not without a share of subjectivity and is part of world culture. As the heritage of culture and at the same time as a historical and legal document, for example, the Laws of Manu are considered, and the literary work The Word of Igor's Campaign contains the spirit of his time and conveys events in color.
Language and Literature
Fiction, being one of the central components of culture, generally does not exist outside the language. It is through language that writers convey their complex and incredibly interesting inner world. The verbally described artistic images are enlivened by your imagination.
Also, language is a kind of bridge between eras. Thanks to the language, contemporaries know such works of antiquity as the Iliad and Odyssey, which are considered the cradle of mankind. The ancient writings reveal the mythology of the peoples of the world. Each epoch is most vividly represented in the works of its contemporary authors, known and not very well.
And if we talk about preferences, sometimes reading a work of art can be much more fun than watching a movie created on its basis. In addition, the literary language is much wider and richer than the ordinary language, it is in itself a cultural heritage.
