Entering the home, a Russian person always takes off his shoes and puts on slippers. Almost every hostess has several pairs of spare slippers for people who come to visit. Arriving in any more civilized country, Russian people are surprised how you can walk in shoes on the streets of the city, and then in the same shoes on your own home.

The compatriots also do not understand how you can lie on the lawn in clothes, sit on the steps or curb and not be afraid to smear. The reason is that even in large densely populated cities, not all streets are covered with asphalt. If there is even asphalt, then looking at it, you might think that several tanks drove through it recently. In order to remove the entire territory of the city, you need special equipment that is not only very expensive, but simply will not be able to go along the clumsy asphalt our cities. Naturally, such equipment is not intended for cleaning on an unpaved area. In cities, only crowded places and the city center are equipped with bins. If you go a little deeper into any sleeping area, then in order to throw out the garbage, you can look for the urn for about 10 minutes. Of course, there are not so many patient people. As a result, the garbage that did not fall into the urn simply rolls underfoot, and the person carries it into the house on his shoes. There is such a profession in the country as a janitor, but does the janitor's salary prompt labor zeal? Yes, and it is unlikely that anyone will check the results of the work every day, so nothing is threatened by the janitors for the incomplete cleaning of the territory. Many of them are well aware that there are not so many people who want to work in their place, so the employer does not have to choose. If such jobs were better paid, then there would be much more willing. However, in addition to scanty wages, there are not many janitors in one district of the city. After all, why recruit a large staff of workers, if it is still impossible to completely clear the area of rubbish. Russian people boldly throw cigarette butts, all kinds of rubbish from their balconies and even spit. What does this happen 24 hours a day. Having even a huge staff of janitors, round-the-clock monitoring of the appearance of new garbage on the street is unlikely to be possible. So how can one not take off his shoes at the entrance to the room, if the shoes can bring not only dirt, garbage, but also the remains of chewing gums, spitting and similar evil spirits.
