How often do you hold the door of the subway car at the stops so that another passenger can jump in there? And this is forbidden. And not only because you can be injured.

The doors of metro cars at stations are held very often, especially during rush hours and at stations where the largest passenger traffic is. This cannot be done, and there are three main reasons for this.
- Depreciation of the mechanism of opening and closing doors. It can fail much more often than intended.
- Injury to passengers.
- General failure on the line due to schedule disruption. A train cannot move if at least one door is open. This is especially acute during rush hour, when it is important every 10 seconds.
At rush hour, for example, on the red metro line, the train interval is 1 minute 30 seconds. Parking at the station is always defined and very limited, mainly 15-20 seconds. If the train costs longer than it is intended, the next ones will start to slow down and also delay.
The train schedule malfunction also affects passengers, because these delays affect the overall duration of the road. That is, instead of the planned 30 minutes, a person can get to work, for example, 35 minutes.
When you hold the door and then let go, they close very sharply. If you do not have time to jump in time, the doors can press a limb or other part of the body. At least it hurts enough and can even lead to injuries.
Due to the fact that passengers hold the doors of cars, trains can also have unplanned stops in tunnels, because the previous train still stands at a stop and we need to wait around this time. This delays others behind, and a kind of congestion forms on the metro line. Such a chain reaction always occurs when someone holds the door. In addition, wagons can sharply slow down when passengers do not expect this, which can create certain inconveniences.
Another rather big problem of train delays is the increase in power consumption. Because if the train in normal mode accelerates and brakes at the station, then this takes one amount of electricity. If he must additionally stop and accelerate outside the plan, and then this happens with each train on the line, then this requires much more electricity.
When the announcement sounds that the doors are closing, this does not mean that you need to hold them and jump into the car as if it were the last train for today. Sometimes passengers substitute their hands between the doors or a backpack so that they open and can be climbed into the carriage. It is absolutely impossible to do this. The announcement of the closing of the doors is a reservation that this train is already leaving and you need to wait for the next one.
