Over the past hundred years, the great and mighty Russian language has undergone many changes. And it cannot be said that these changes are for the better. Too often slang sounds in the speech, which pushes the literary and even just literate conversational style to the periphery. The reason for significant changes in the language, in the first place, are changes in the lifestyle of people

Technological advances and social changes are making a significant contribution to vocabulary. Since there are new objects and concepts that require their designation. But this does not explain the "dying" of the original culture and wealth of the Russian language. Representatives of the older generation still retain in their everyday life more literary speech, because they grew up in an environment saturated with it. But young people, many of whom "live" on the Internet, transfer its specific slang to real life. Beautiful fiction and especially classics, outside the curriculum, are not read by everyone. And if you take into account that parents at home also communicate in a completely non-literary language, it turns out that the basis for correct speech is simply absent. English borrowings have become very popular. Moreover, not only some specific words that are difficult to find an analogue in Russian are taken into use. But even the most ordinary ones are replaced, for example, instead of the word "sister, " it is now fashionable to say "sister" (English sister - sister). Young people prefer to communicate on slang, in every possible way distort and change speech, paying tribute to modern fashion. The vernacular forms of words are supplanted by the literary. Even writers and journalists are far from always trying to preserve the style. It is interestingly written about the reasons for the change in speech in the book “Manipulation of Consciousness” by SG Kara-Murza, 2009. He observes the “washing out” of the language of “roots”, i.e. words containing the root and the set of related root concepts. But it is precisely the roots that make it possible to catch the connection between words with different meanings. At the same time, amoeba words are introduced into use, the origin of which is not clear, but they quickly spread and become international. The Russian language is very rich in words and phrases, each of which seems to mean the same thing, but carries its own special connotation of meaning. However, without reading classical literature, there is simply nowhere to take all this wealth from. In addition, it is much easier to remember one expression than several. After all, modern life is very fast and dynamic. This, too, puts off its specific imprint. People are used to talking, not really thinking about the correct pronunciation of words and the transmission of semantic nuances. It is sad, but the Russian language is really experiencing a crisis now. But, of course, everything is still not lost and I want to hope that people will return to the correct colloquial speech. Journalists and writers will recall styles, schoolchildren and students will begin to read and speak more in Russian, and not in slang and jargon.
