Starting conditions
Boris Grigorievich Plotnikov was born on April 2, 1949 in a standard Soviet family. Father and mother worked at one of the metallurgical plants in the city of Novouralsk. Parents created the child all the conditions for harmonious development. He attended a theater studio in a local pioneer house. When Boris grew up a bit, they bought him a violin and recorded in a music school. At the same time, the young musician did not hide his love for football and had time to enthusiastically engage in the sports section.
Mother really wanted her son to become a musician. In order not to upset his parents, Boris after school seriously prepared and entered the Sverdlovsk Conservatory. Unfortunately, he failed to pass the qualifying competition. Failure did not discourage him. Then he gathered his courage and entered the Ural Theater School, where he received a specialized education. A certified actor was hired by the local theater of a young spectator. Here Plotnikov worked for more than eight years, and simultaneously graduated from the philology department of the university.
Professional activity
In 1978, Plotnikov was invited to the troupe of the famous Theater of Satire. The actor moved to Moscow and carefully studied the current traditions and unspoken rules. The artistic party received him favorably. Boris Grigoryevich was introduced to the repertoire performances. Almost every evening he went on stage in the productions of "The Cherry Orchard", "Phenomena", "Crazy Money". The performer experienced firsthand how popular actors live and work.
Plotnikov’s career was successful. His work and efforts were appreciated. Ten years flew by like an instant, and Boris moved to the theater of the Soviet Army, where he was immediately put on the main role in the play "The Idiot". It so happened that this role was assigned to him for many years. For a long time he was not invited to act in films. And in 1976, the cult director Larisa Shepitko invited Plotnikov to the main role in the film "Ascent". The film was widely known not only in the country, but also abroad.
