Michel Platini was born in the small commune of Jeff in the northeastern region of France, Lorraine. Date of birth - June 21, 1955. Despite the fact that Michel was born in France, he is Italian by birth. His grandparents were native Italians, but during World War I they were forced to move to neighboring France.
The boy always wanted to play football, especially since his father Aldo Platini also played football, but at an amateur level. Learning about his son’s passion, he supported him and helped in everything. As early as 11 years old, Platini Jr. began playing for the local team. At the age of 16, the Platini club at the regional level was able to defeat the Mets youth team, representatives of League 1, the main tournament of France.
Breeders drew attention to a talented young man and invited him to his academy, but dreams of playing for their favorite team were not destined to come true. Platini missed the first viewing because of an injury, on the second attempt of a promising player the doctors rejected him, he fainted during spirometry (measuring the volume of air in the lungs). Also, as part of this club, Platini first became the champion of France in 1981.
