Childhood and adolescence: the beginning of a biography
Peter Ustinov has Russian roots both on the paternal and the maternal side. The father of the future celebrity is the diplomat and journalist Iona Ustinov, her mother is Nadezhda Benois, an artist. The boy was born in London, was educated at Westminster School, which graduated from many political and public figures.
Passion for the theater began in his teens. Parents strongly encouraged the creative impulses of Peter. The debut took place when the future actor was only 17 years old. Then he began experiments in drama, writing several short plays.
The career was interrupted by World War II. Peter enlisted in the army and was appointed an orderly with David Niven, a famous writer and actor. During the service, both worked on the script for the war movie "The Way Forward."
