Biography
Maria Vladimirovna Makarova was born in Krasnodar in 1977. The family of the future singer is very creative: the head of the family is a journalist, mother is a teacher. There are no former journalists, as we know - they are thinking and creative people, and my mother writes poetry in addition to teaching foreign languages.
Masha from childhood loved to sing and even professionally engaged in vocals. Then she did everything “for the sake of interest”: she worked at a radio station - she played music as a DJ, then she entered a journal faculty just to get some kind of education. And all the time she sang somewhere, because it was a call of the soul.
In the mid-nineties, Makarova began working with the Krasnodar groups Makar Dubai and Drynk. At that time, the Megapolis group arrived in Krasnodar, and Masha managed to transfer her demo to the soloist of the group Oleg Nesterov. Oleg liked the work of the soloist, and he suggested producing her performances.
So in 1997, three notable events happened in the life of Masha Makarova: she began to cooperate with Nesterov, then created the group "Masha and the Bears", and then finally moved to Moscow. Together with the group, the soloist went to India, in search of new creative solutions. And this was the way: there they recorded two video clips. One was called Lyubochka and was written in verses by Agniya Barto, however, the text was slightly adjusted. The second was called "B.T.", which stands for "without you."
Both clips immediately became popular, they were played on radio stations and in television programs. The band's team was inspired by such success, and soon Masha signed a contract with record company "Extraphone" to record a new album. So it turned out the album "Solntseklesh", which at the festival "Maxidrom" received the status of "opening of the year." However, like the group "Masha and the Bears".
After that, the group went on tour and traveled around a huge number of cities. Together with fame among listeners and lovers of the songs of the collective "Masha and the Bears" they receive a number of awards and take top places in the charts.
Unfortunately, in 2000 the group broke up. In 2004, they reunited to record the album “Without a Language, ” and the musicians resumed their activities.
After that, "Masha and the Bears" released more than one album, and there are many creative ideas in the plans.
