By his victory in the second season of the music television contest, the guy proved that even the natives of the province can submit to the scene if they have enough desire and will to win, perseverance and diligence. After the victory, he didn’t lower the requirements for himself - Sergey is diligently working on his development, he is actively working in several projects at once. But he is reluctant to contact with journalists, he does not like to talk about himself and his personal life.
Biography of Sergey Volchkov
Sergey Volchkov was born in the small Belarusian town of Bykhov, in April 1988. In the family of the bank's cashier-controller (mom) and driver (dad), two boys grew up - in addition to Sergey, there was also the elder Volodya. Parents were far from singing and art in general, but, noticing the youngest son’s desire for music, sent him to learn to play the piano.
From school years, Sergey took part in various music and vocal competitions, but a real impetus in his future career was a visit to the Italian opera, where he got in the framework of the program for the rehabilitation of children of the Chernobyl zone.
It was then that he decided to continue preparations for the singing craft, and continued his profile training:
- brilliant graduation from his native music school,
- Mogilev College named after Rimsky-Korsakov,
- GITIS Theater Department.
GITIS teachers compared Sergey Volchkov with the already deceased Magomayev, and prophesied to him a brilliant career as an opera singer. Hone the vocal skills to perfection, according to Sergei, he was helped by teacher Peter Gluboky.
Before trying his hand at the Golos project, Sergey managed to become a winner of the Romansiada contest, a scholarship holder of the Dunaevsky Cultural Programs Fund, to work at events of various sizes as an animator and presenter, and in the end he was lucky to become Gradsky’s ward and defeat show.
