Biography
November 8, 1983 in the city of Moscow a light-haired and blue-eyed boy was born, who was named Pavel. His mother worked in medicine at that time, and dad was a simple driver in a factory. All his life, his father Victor was an ardent fan of the Spartak football club.
And therefore, from childhood, Paul was introduced to football. Together with his father and brothers, they enjoyed watching football matches and discussing highlights. The family’s favorite soccer player playing for Spartak was Igor Shalimov, playing with the number 7 on his uniform.
By elementary school, Pavel began his career in football, being a junior of the Spartak club and even then had great expectations, turning out to be a very talented child. Quite quickly, the athlete made his debut in his beloved Spartak at a fairly young age.
In 2002, Pavel performed several goal attacks, which earned the recognition of Spartak fans. But from 2003 to 2007, Pavel changed several teams, where he also scored actively. After excellent games in teams such as Baltika, Khimki, Shinnik, Tom, he was noticed in the Zenit team and invited to play for them.
Sports career
Zenit paid about 5 million euros for Paul. For the club, the acquisition of this magnificent striker brought the Cup in the championship in the Russian Premier League in 2008. Pavel Viktorovich Pogrebnyak distinguished himself in the Super Cup of Russia, scoring two goals. “Zenith” then won 2-1.
