"Pirates of the Caribbean" is a series of films produced by Walt Disney Studios. The idea of the first was born on the attraction of the same name in Disneyland Park. After the release of the picture in 2003, it became clear that the audience liked the pirate theme, and the series was extended immediately to two sequels. The romantic motion picture laid the foundation for pirate mania in society, reviving interest in noble robbers and sea adventures.

Since the first film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” was conceived separately from the others, its plot is somewhat isolated from the second and third parts, which were shot simultaneously and are one.
The first film, 2003
The main characters of the saga appear in The Curse of the Black Pearl: the eccentric young pirate Jack Sparrow, the captain without a ship, the young son of the pirate Will Turner, who temporarily moonlights as a blacksmith on the island of Port Royal, and the brave beauty Elizabeth Swann, daughter of the governor of Port Royal.
The plot of the film is tied around the damned Aztec gold that was once stolen by a team of pirates from the ship "Black Pearl". Magic turned all the captors into immortals, not dead, but not alive, and in order to get rid of this curse, it is necessary to return to the chest every single Aztec coin. As luck would have it, the last coin sailed away with little Will Turner in an unknown direction, and then completely passed to Elizabeth.
Looking for a coin, immortal pirates attack Port Royal and capture the beautiful daughter of the governor in captivity along with the coin. Will Turner and Jack Sparrow, who are in love with her, go in pursuit of the beauty, who has his own interest in regaining the status of captain of the “Black Pearl”, which resulted in a riot that passed to Barbossa.
Second film, 2006
The story of Aztec gold ends in the first film: Jack returns the ship, Will and Elizabeth are about to get married. The second film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, begins a new storyline. Here, the East India Company acts as an antagonist, having decided to clear the southern seas from pirates. For this, Lord Becket begins the hunt for the wonderful Jack Sparrow compass, which points to where its owner is aiming.
But the compass is just a big plan stage. Having taken possession of the compass, Lord Beckett plans to find a chest in which beats the real living heart of the captain of "Flying Dutchman" Davy Jones. The function of the magic ship is to escort the souls of the dead to the next world, but as a result of the quarrel of its captain with his beloved, the sea goddess Calypso, the souls float on their own, the ship sows a storm, and Calypso is locked in a human body and can not pacify sea unrest.
Cheerless Jack Sparrow and here has his interest - he owes Davy Jones a hundred years of service at the "Flying Dutchman", but is trying to pay off with other people's lives. Will and Elizabeth again find themselves in a whirlpool of events, but love helps them circumvent all obstacles and be together. In the end, the heart of Jones is with Lord Becket, who thus plans to control the sea and methodically drown pirates.
Third film, 2007
The third film, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, directly continues the intrigue tied to Dead Man's Chest. Will Turner and Elizabeth must first save Jack Sparrow from a magic trap, and then organize the entire pirate fraternity to war with Lord Beckett.
Since Beckett’s power lies in his power over Jones’s heart, it is on him that the hunt begins again. The goddess Calypso is being freed, an unprecedented storm rises at sea, two legendary ships converge in battle: the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman. By chance, the captain’s heart pierces the mortally wounded Will Turner, which means that he must take his place.
Things are going right with the right captain - Lord Becket is defeated, the armada of the East India Company is turning back, the team of the Flying Dutchman is freed from the curse, and the souls of the dead are again swimming in the right direction. The finale of the trilogy is both sad and optimistic - Elizabeth is waiting on the shore of Will, which can set foot on land only once every ten years, and Jack Sparrow sets off to meet new adventures.
The fourth film, 2011
New adventures were demonstrated in the fourth film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. In it, Will and Elizabeth are replaced by new heroes - the legendary captain Blackbeard and his daughter Angelica, with whom Jack Sparrow has a romantic relationship. They go in search of the Source of Youth, trying to get ahead of the Spaniards in this matter. The plot of the film is a complete story and is not related to other parts of the saga.
