The fate of this actor is closely linked with the history of his native country. Nikolai Mikheev not only went on stage or on the set. He is a participant in the Great Patriotic War. He had to endure many trials and hardships.
Childhood and youth
Fate plays a man. It is appropriate to recall these winged words from a sentimental romance when it comes to the generation of people who survived the war. According to all signs and forecasts, Nikolai Alexandrovich Mikheev was trained in the military profession. However, events unfolded in a different direction. The future People’s Artist of the Soviet Union was born on February 12, 1923 in the family of a military man. At that time, his father served in the famous city of Samarkand. Once, the phalanxes of Alexander the Great passed here, sparkling with bronze shields.
A boy from an early age was interested in the history of his small homeland. I read all the historical books about the time that I found in the library. But completely unexpectedly an order came, and the head of the family was transferred to a new duty station in the city of Irkutsk, located on the banks of the beautiful Angara River. Here Nikolai graduated from high school and decided to get an education at the history department of Irkutsk University. He entered the university the first time. In 1942, students were drafted into the ranks of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army.
Professional activity
After the war, Mikheev was in the city of Saratov. His plans changed, and the demobilized fighter entered the studio at the local Theater of Young Spectators. In 1948, having completed his studies, Nikolai begins to play his small but dramatic roles in the Youth Theater. For more than ten years, the actor spent in these walls. He played the main and leading roles in all repertoire performances. Colleagues noted that the character of the actor was, to put it mildly, complex and non-living. In 1958, Mikheev went to Siberia and joined the troupe of the Tomsk Drama Theater.
Mikheev’s acting career was developing successfully. He worked hard and reliably. In 1970 he was invited to the Academic Drama Theater of the city of Kuibyshev. Six years later, for his role in the play "The Golden Carriage" and other productions, Nikolai Alexandrovich was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the RSFSR". A talented actor starred in the movie. After the film "Eternal Call" Mikheeva recognized the whole country. Then came the roles in the films "TASS is authorized to declare, " "Twenty Days Without War, " "Autumn Matinees."
