Nikita Dolgushin is a man who devoted his whole life to ballet. He was an outstanding dancer, choreographer, choreographer and talented teacher. Childhood and youth
The biography of Nikita Dolgushin was complicated and difficult, but he himself always considered himself a lucky person. The future prime minister was born in 1938, after 3 years the war began. Nikita barely survived the blockade, the consequences affected his health.

A promising dancer was invited to the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater, offering him the position of lead soloist. In the early 60s, the capital of Siberia gained fame as a brave and innovative city, accepting talents that did not take root in the capitals.
Dolgushin himself with pleasure remembered this time. In 1961-1966 he performed all the leading parts. The visiting card of Nikita was the role of Albert from Giselle: characteristic, original, which gave great scope for character development. In parallel, Dolgushin was developing new programs in collaboration with Yu.N. Grigorovich and P.A. Gusev. In 1964 he made his debut as a choreographer. Nikita staged several one-act ballets, participating in them as a premiere.
In 1968, Dolgushin returned to Leningrad and worked at the Maly Opera and Ballet Theater (now Mikhailovsky). Among the outstanding works is the production of the ballet Romeo and Juliet by P.A. Tchaikovsky, in which Nikita brilliantly performed the leading part. Dolgushin boldly included in the repertoire the choreographic miniatures of R. Petit, L. Jacobson, G. Aleksidze, designed for a sophisticated audience.

From 1983 to 2001, Nikita Aleksandrovich headed the department of directing ballet at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Later he returned to his native Mikhailovsky Theater as a teacher-tutor. In the last years of his life, Dolgushin headed the artistic council of the theater.
