Biography
Russian Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics in group exercises Natalia Lavrova was born in 1984 on August 4. Her parents were engaged in medical work. Husband and wife moved to Penza before the birth of their daughter, when they were offered interesting and promising work in one of the Penza clinics. The girl’s father was very fond of sports and was engaged in boxing. This influenced the choice for Natasha of additional classes. She was very agile, energetic, loved to dance. The mother took the girl to the rhythmic gymnastics section, with which the gymnast's sports career began. Thanks to the pedagogical talent of the first coach Olga Stebneva, the girl fell in love with her chosen sport. This love and hard work led the athlete to the highest achievements.
When Natasha went to school, she was already a real athlete, since she went to training from the age of five. For secondary education, parents chose school No. 75 in the city of Penza. Here, in Penza, Natalia Lavrova graduated, graduated from the State Pedagogical University.
Victory and Success
Natalia Lavrov’s sports career developed rapidly. Already at her first training camp, which took place in 1999, she takes first place. It was a group competition, but the famous Tatyana Vasilieva, who at that time was the leading coach of the Russian team, immediately highlighted the flexible and artistic Natasha.
Six months after the first victory, Natalya Lavrova joined the main team of rhythmic gymnastics in group exercises. The next test of skill and talent of the gymnast took place in the qualifying world championship, which took place in the Japanese city of Osaka. Natalia Lavrova first became the champion of the Olympic Games at the age of 15.

The Russian team won over and over again. For nine years, Natalia Lavrova was a participant in all competitions, in which the national team of the Russian Federation took part. The 2000 Olympics in Australia and 2004 in Greece brought Russian girls gold medals. The team was not equal in group exercises. All international competitions of the Grand Prix brought the two-time Olympic champions only brilliant victories.

Few athletes were able to achieve as many awards as Natalya Aleksandrovna Lavrova received for her sports work. She was four times European champion, five times conquered the world podium, twice became the winner of the Olympics.
In 2000, the athlete received the title of Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation and became the coach of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team.
