If adults want not only to festively spend two hours of their time with a child, but also to make it sink into his soul, to give rise to thoughts of good and evil, to draw the child into a strange theatrical reality, which is a theatrical convention, then for For first joint visits, it is better to choose performances in theaters that have long established themselves as overlords of children's hearts. Theaters are not entreprise, but under the guidance of real masters who do not tolerate hack-work in the territories entrusted to them in principle. Only in such theaters can a child be imbued with the magical atmosphere of real art, only such a theater will not discourage his desire for knowledge and can instill in him an aesthetic need - the need for the theater, as in a difficult but exciting interlocutor.

The Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT), led by one of the leading figures in the Moscow theater scene, Alexander Borodin, is a theater with a long tradition of children's performances. Here they don’t play giveaways with children, they don’t lisp, they don’t speak in bad voices. They talk to them here. They speak through told stories about life and death, about good and evil, about dreams, hope and such a strange adult world.
2
For children age 6+, the theater offers the following performances, created according to classical Russian and foreign children's literature: “Fearless Barin” by A. Afanasyev, “The Wizard of the Emerald City” by A. Volkov, “Magic Ring” by B. Shergin, “Deniskins Tales” by V. Dragunsky, “Cinderella” by E. Schwartz, “Like a Cat Walking, Wherever He Cares” by R. The Moscow Theater of Young Spectators (MTYUZ) under the guidance of legendary directors Henrietta Yanovskaya and Kama Ginkas, in the long traditions of the Russian theater, is concerned about the upbringing of its audience. Therefore, this theater tries to attract viewers from a very young age and, opening the backstage, gradually immerses them in an atmosphere of conditional theatrical art.
4
It was for this that the performance of Kama Ginkas "The Golden Cockerel" was created, which received a number of theater awards. The director acquaints kids, and sometimes ignorant adults, with how they play art, how simple and at the same time it’s difficult to come up with performances, adaptations to them, and play, delighting a small but extremely corrosive and thinking audience.
5
The September poster of the 2014 MTYuZ offers the following children's performances: "Cat's House", "Golden Cockerel" by A. Pushkin and "Peter Pan" by J. Barry.
6
But there is one performance that is impossible, impossible not to watch. There are such rare cases in theaters. This is a performance that has been going on at the MTYuZ for more than forty years, and it has become that performance that ties together at least four generations of long-growing children, their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren - it’s called “Two Maples” by E. Schwartz.
7
But in the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, you can’t miss and not show the child an amazing, vibrant, musical story created by director Evgeny Pisarev based on the tale of Peter Ershov's The Little Humpbacked Horse. This performance was awarded the Crystal Theater Turandot, the Highest Theater Award of Moscow in 2008, and the Golden Mask National Theater Award in the nomination "The best performance in the genre of operetta / musical" in 2009.
8
And the last one on this list, but it’s perhaps he who deserves to be the first performance that you should definitely watch with your child, if you want your child to learn how to take care of loved ones, family, and parents - this is the premiere musical performance of the Theater named after. Mayakovsky, created based on the play by Chilean author Luis Supelveda "Mama Cat".
