The fate of the Soviet and Russian poet Mikhail Tanich is similar to an action-packed novel. Many times he was on the verge of death and miraculously saved. At the same time, he maintained optimism and a good attitude towards the people around him until the end of his life.

Childhood and youth
As one of the Soviet poets aptly noted, times do not choose, they live and die in them. Mikhail Isaevich Tanich was born on September 15, 1923. Parents at that time lived in Taganrog. My father worked as the head of municipal utilities. Mother was engaged in household chores and raising a child. A boy from young nails demonstrated his natural abilities. At four, he learned to read. Misha studied well at school. His favorite subjects were literature and drawing.
Already in the lower grades Tanich tried to compose poetry. When he was fourteen years old, trouble came into the house. Father was accused of embezzlement of socialist property, convicted and sentenced to death. Mother was arrested and sent to prison. Michael was sheltered by his grandfather, who lived in Rostov-on-Don. A certificate of maturity was awarded to him on June 22, 1941. On the same day the Great Patriotic War began. A few months later, Tanich was drafted into the army and sent to the Tbilisi Artillery School.
The gun commander had to fight Sergeant Tanich on the Baltic, and then on the Belorussian Front. The future poet was wounded twice and once shell-shocked. He was awarded the Order of Glory and the Red Star. The war ended on the banks of the Elbe River. Having returned home after the Victory, Mikhail entered the construction institute. In his second year, he was sentenced to six years in a camp on false charges. Conclusion A former student was serving in the North, in the vicinity of the city of Solikamsk.
Group "Lumbering"
After his release, Tanich left for Sakhalin, where he got a job as a foreman in the Stroymekhmontazh trust. Here, on the pages of a local newspaper, his poems were first published. after long ordeals and walking around the courts, the poet was allowed to return to his native land. Michael decided to settle in Moscow. By that time, he had already written a large number of poems. In the late 1950s, a selection of his poems was accepted by the editors of Literaturnaya Gazeta. And in the early 60s, the song "Black Cat" sounded on the radio.
In collaboration with composer Jan Frenkel, the song "Textile Town" was written. After the release of this song on air, the whole country began to sing it. The author of the text received a substantial fee - 220 rubles, despite the fact that the average salary of a weaver was one hundred rubles per month. Tanich worked a lot with different composers. Many songs became smash hits overnight. This happened with the song "Komarovo", which was performed by Igor Sklyar.
In the late 80s Tanich organized the vocal-instrumental group "Sawmill". The case was new and the team was taken with some caution. Place thieves on the stage was not intended. But over time, the ensemble's repertoire became quite civilian. During its existence, Lesopoval recorded sixteen albums.
